Father’s Day, a day that celebrates fatherhood, paternal bonds and the efforts put by male parents towards the well-being of their family. It celebrates and honors the men who have embraced the essential role of fatherhood. A father plays many roles – friend, guide, role model, protector, hero and many more. Sometimes, a father also plays an equally important role of a mother as a single parent. Sometimes, a mother as a single parent also needs to play the role of a father. This day honors those mothers who manage their whole family single handedly. On this day, we also thank fathers and father figures (uncles, grandfathers) for the sacrifices they make, for embracing the responsibility of nurturing and raising children, and for devotion to their family. Father’s Day is usually celebrated with children giving gifts and greeting cards to their fathers and spending the day with them. The celebration of Father’s Day in India depends and varies throughout. Young kids who are often unable to accumulate a certain budget for gifts plan on presenting something handmade. Whereas, those who are not devoid of the money for gifts prefer something monetarily worthy. But, the most common wishes that have been observed over the years are social media posts, status, quotes, and messages.
