Every year, the second Saturday of June, is celebrated as Family Health & Fitness Day. The purpose of this special day is to promote the importance of parks and recreation and their role in keeping our community healthy and active.
It’s not enough to teach our children the importance of fitness. We can teach our kids to love fitness by engaging it together in fun ways.
The days aims to promote the significance of local parks in a community and physical activities among the families. A day to encourage all the members of each family to participate in activities to get active and get healthy. This will showcase the importance of physical activities to the next generation.
Being active increases the metabolism in the body. As a result it also impacts the mental health in a good way, which is very important nowadays.
Adding to health, this will also be a great chance to spend some quality time with the family. The More the Merrier!!
